Logging In and Password Management

This guide covers everything you need to know about logging into your EquiBillBook account and managing your password securely.

Logging Into Your Account

Step 1: Access the Login Page

Navigate to the EquiBillBook login page by:

  • Clicking the "Login" button on the homepage
  • Visiting /login directly
  • Using the login link from your bookmark or email

Step 2: Enter Your Credentials

Enter your login information:

  • Email Address: The email you used to register your account
  • Password: Your account password

Step 3: Click Login

Click the "Login" or "Sign In" button to access your account.

Step 4: Access Your Dashboard

Password Requirements

For security, your password must meet these requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters in length
  • At least one letter (a-z, A-Z)
  • At least one number (0-9)
  • May include special characters (!, @, #, $, etc.)

Forgot Your Password?

If you've forgotten your password, follow these steps to reset it:

Step 1: Click "Forgot Password"

On the login page, click the "Forgot Password?" or "Reset Password" link.

Step 2: Enter Your Email

Enter the email address associated with your EquiBillBook account and click "Submit" or "Send Reset Link".

Step 3: Check Your Email

You'll receive a password reset email with a secure link. This email typically arrives within a few minutes.

Step 4: Click the Reset Link

Open the email and click on the password reset link. This will take you to a secure page where you can create a new password.

Step 5: Create New Password

Enter your new password twice (to confirm), ensuring it meets the password requirements, then click "Reset Password" or "Update Password".

Step 6: Log In with New Password

Once your password is reset, return to the login page and log in using your email and new password.

Changing Your Password

To change your password while logged in:

Step 1: Go to User Settings

Navigate to Settings → User Settings → Change Password or Profile → Security → Change Password.

Step 2: Enter Current Password

Enter your current password to verify your identity.

Step 3: Enter New Password

Enter your new password twice (once in "New Password" and once in "Confirm Password" fields).

Step 4: Save Changes

Click "Save" or "Update Password" to save your new password.

Password Security Best Practices

  • Use a Strong Password: Combine letters, numbers, and special characters
  • Don't Reuse Passwords: Use a unique password for EquiBillBook
