Setting Up Organization Details
After creating your EquiBillBook account, the first step is to configure your organization details. This information will be used across all your invoices, reports, and business documents.
Accessing Organization Settings
To set up your organization details:
- Log in to your EquiBillBook account
- Navigate to Settings → Organization Settings → Business Settings
- You'll see the Business Information section where you can configure your organization details
Required Organization Information
You'll need to provide the following details:
- Business Name: Your official business or company name (this will appear on all invoices and documents)
- Business Start Date: The date when your business started operations
- Country: Select your country from the dropdown list
- Industry Type: Choose the industry category that best describes your business
- Business Type: Select one or more business types that apply to your organization
- Website URL: (Optional) Your business website address
- Currency settings
- Tax configuration options
- Regional formatting (date, time, number formats)
- Retail
- Wholesale
- Manufacturing
- Service
- Restaurant

- Review all entered details carefully
- Click the "Update" or "Save" button
- Wait for the confirmation message indicating that your settings have been saved successfully
- Business Name: This will appear on all your invoices, quotations, and business documents. Make sure it's accurate and matches your legal business name.
- Country Selection: Changing the country later may affect your tax settings and currency configuration, so choose carefully.
- Business Start Date: This is used for financial reporting and cannot be changed after transactions are recorded.
- Industry Type: While you can change this later, selecting the correct industry helps EquiBillBook provide better default settings for your business.
- Upload your business logo

- Check that you have the necessary permissions to access settings
- Contact your system administrator if you don't see the Settings menu
