Address management allows you to configure and manage your business address information that appears on invoices, quotations, and other business documents. Proper address management ensures legal compliance and professional communication with customers and suppliers.

What is Address Management?

Address management includes:

  • Primary Business Address: Your main business location
  • Billing Address: Address for billing purposes
  • Shipping Address: Address for shipping/delivery
  • Multiple Addresses: Managing addresses for different branches or locations

Accessing Address Management

To configure your business address:

  1. Navigate to SettingsOrganization SettingsBusiness Settings
  2. Look for the "Business Address" or "Address Management" section
  3. You'll see fields for entering your complete business address

Address Components

A complete business address includes:

  • Address Line 1: Street address, building name, or office number
  • Address Line 2: (Optional) Additional address details like suite, floor, or apartment number
  • City: Your city or town
  • State/Province: Your state or province
  • Postal/ZIP Code: Your postal or ZIP code
  • Country: Your country (usually pre-filled from organization settings)
  • Landmark: (Optional) Nearby landmarks for easier location identification

Step-by-Step Address Configuration

Step 1: Enter Street Address

Start with your street address:

  1. Enter your complete street address in Address Line 1
  2. Include building name, street number, and street name
  3. Example: "123 Main Street, Business Tower"

Step 2: Add Additional Address Details

If applicable, add supplementary information:

  • Suite number, floor, or apartment number in Address Line 2
  • Building or complex name
  • Any other location-specific details

Step 3: Enter City

Enter your city or town name. Ensure it matches your official business registration.

Step 4: Select State/Province

Select or enter your state or province. This is important for:

  • Tax calculations (state-specific taxes)
  • Legal compliance
  • Shipping calculations

Step 5: Enter Postal/ZIP Code

Enter your postal or ZIP code. This helps with:

Where Address Information Appears

Your business address is displayed on:

  • Purchase Bills: As your business address

Multiple Addresses (Multi-Branch Setup)

If your business has multiple locations:

  • You can set up multiple branches/locations in Location Settings
  • Each branch can have its own address
  • The primary address set here will be used as the default
  • You can select different addresses when creating documents
  • Addresses can be managed separately for each branch

Address Types

You may need to configure different address types:

Billing Address

The address used for billing and invoicing purposes. This is typically your registered business address.

Shipping Address

The address from which you ship products. This may differ from your billing address if you have a separate warehouse or fulfillment center.

Registered Address

Your legally registered business address as per business registration documents. This must match your official registration.
