What is Waiter Assignment?
Waiter assignment allows you to assign specific waiters or service staff to table bookings. This helps organize service responsibilities, track waiter performance, and ensure proper coverage for all reservations.
Assigning a Waiter to a Booking
To assign a waiter to a booking:
- Navigate to the booking details page
- Find the Waiter Assignment or Waiter field
- Select a waiter from the dropdown list
- The dropdown shows all active waiters/service staff
- Save the booking to apply the assignment
When to Assign Waiters
You can assign waiters at different stages:
- During Creation: Assign when creating a new booking
- Before Service: Assign before the booking time to prepare staff
- At Arrival: Assign when customers arrive and are seated
- Reassignment: Change waiter assignment if needed
Waiter Management
